Day 1: pickup and transfer to Tsavo West national park
A representative will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on the first day of your 2 days Tsavo West safari by our representative on the first day of your Kenya safari. In the morning, following a short safari briefing, we will take you to the Tsavo West national park, a paradise for the red elephants. Tsavo West is located in the coastal province of Kenya, and covers an area of 9,065 square kilometers.
In Kenya, Tsavo West National Park is one of the best wildlife destinations in the world, and together with Tsavo East National Park, it forms the largest protected area in the country, known as Tsavo National Park.
Upon arrival at Tsavo West National Park, you will check into your lodge, enjoy lunch, and head out for an afternoon game drive to explore the plains of the park. During the game drive you will enjoy watching animals such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, lesser kudus, wild dogs, elephants and many birds recorded to be over 600 species such as African finfoot, Basra reed warbler, Black-faced sandgrouse, Common whitethroat, Corncrake, Fischer’s starling, Golden pipit, Golden-breasted starling, Lesser kestrel, Marsh warbler, Martial eagle, Narina trogon, Northern brownbul, Pangani longclaw, Red-backed shrike, Red-bellied parrot, River warbler, Rufous chatterer, Shelley’s starling, Slender-tailed nightjar and many more.
Tsavo Game Drives
In addition to the game drive, you will also have an opportunity to visit Mzima springs on the same day, which is an oasis of crystal clear water that is also home to hippos and crocodiles.
Later return to your lodge, have diner and stay overnight.
In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: morning game drive and transfer back to Nairobi
On the second and last day of a two-day safari in Tsavo West, you will be able to have an early breakfast before heading to the park for your last game drive to search for early risers such as lions, rhinos, wild dogs, and elephants among others calling the park home on this safari. A visit to the Rhino Sanctuary will also be included in your game drive, which will take place inside the park during your game drive. Upon leaving the park, you will embark on a journey back to Nairobi where you will have lunch upon reaching the city, before being dropped off at the airport for your flight home or to your next adventure.
